Spotted Wing Drosophila
First detections SWD in WI raspberry
We have been finding significant populations of Spotted Wing Drosophila around the state are expecting more confirmations in the coming weeks as populations build. Most of the damage has been in observed in the fall bearing raspberries as it is one of the preferred hosts for SWD.
We are in the process of developing a SWD website where updates and resources will be available and will let you know as soon as that is available. Attached is an update on the status of confirmed SWD detections across the state as well as some recommendations for management of infested bramble plantings.
