Apple Pesticide Update: Special Recommendation Approved for Apogee Use in Apple for Fire Blight Management
In early 2024, Apogee® Plant Growth Regulator (BASF) was granted a FIRFA Section 2(ee) recommendation permitting its use for early application timing for fire blight management in several apple growing states, including Wisconsin. This recommendation is linked below.
The directions for use allow a first application of Apogee between the pink stage of flower development and 1 to 3 inches of new growth. This section 2(ee) recommendation will expire on December 31, 2025.
This section 2(ee) recommendation does not replace or amend the Apogee product labeling; label directions, restrictions, and precautions must be followed. The label is the law.
This recommendation must be in your possession at the time of use.
